75 minutes. 
A gentle, healing practice specializing in movements, poses, and breathing techniques to help with limitations of any kind.  Particularly beneficial for those dealing with new or old injuries, degenerative disorders, and Chronic Pain sufferers.  Reduce pain, increase function for a higher quality of life.  Move, breath, feel good and Heal!

Open Yoga Practice

Open Practice classes will be held on Fridays at 7:30 AM.
This class is a chance to experience your own personal practice amidst other students of yoga doing their own personal practice.  A teacher is present to answer questions before and after class and it is encouraged for students to interact with each other as well.  Doing one's own practice with others creates a powerful, energized experience.  You will be amazed as to what opens up for you in your body and mind; creativity, exploration, and community!
Open Practice is by donation per session to help support the space.  Free if you are signed up with a monthly package.

September is National Yoga Month!

Come in and get a FREE WEEK of classes Monday 01 - Saturday 06, with a sign-up for the remainder of the month.

Class Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 9:00 AM
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 6:00 PM
Additional Special Celebration class, Saturday - 12:00 Noon, followed by an optional potluck

There is no limit to how many classes you take during the Free Week.
Pricing is adjusted for the remaining 3 weeks of the month.
Payment must be received on the first day of visiting the studio in order to receive the free week.

Regular price schedule:
1 Class a week - $40/month.  You pay only $30!
2 Classes a week - $80/month.  You pay only $60!
Unlimited Classes - $90/month.  You pay only $70!
10 Class punchcard - $108.  Free Week doesn't get punched!

Highlight on Class: GENTLE YOGA

A floor based practice for older students wanting a slower paced, gentle practice of traditional yoga.
Classes will use various methods to increase flexibility, strength, balance and body/mind awareness.  Classes may include the use of props, including chairs, bolsters, therabands, blankets and block, as well as utilizing the wall as a prop to explore traditional poses in a safe mindful practice.
There will be an emphasis on safe alignment, breath awareness and finding your own personal yoga practice.  Adaptations will be offered for individualization.
Classes will be mostly theme based, focusing on  specific body areas, pain relief, osteoporosis, foundation, balance and other topics of interest and importance to students of all levels.
Weekly classes will be similar in content to explore the topics  in more depth.
Each class will end with a long savasana to reset the body and integrate the class learning.

Highlight on Terrie Powers, RYT

Lotus Yoga is dedicated to ongoing certified education to give you skilled and qualified teachers to ensure your best and safest yoga experience.  In that light:

Lotus Yoga is excited to announce that Terrie Powers, RYT200, has been chosen as one of only 12 students to participate in a 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Therapeutic Yoga with Sarahjoy Marsh of the Daya Foundation in Portland, Oregon.

Sarahjoy will be one of the presenters at the Cannon Beach Yoga Arts Festival and is well known and respected in the yoga community.

The first Tier of training will consist of four week long modules, with followup weekends and home study.  Modules will include:  
Adaptive Yoga, Yoga and Strength Conditioning, Mindfulness Based Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Pranayama (Breath Work). 
Terrie's joy is teaching Therapeutic Yoga and she is eager to study again with Sarahjoy, who was one of her early teachers, and to share her knowledge with the Lotus Yoga Community. 
Terrie recently completed a continuing education class (4 CEUs) for Yoga Alliance credits on YOGA AND OSTEOPOROSIS. 

Terrie will be integrating her knowledge learned into her classes.
